If I haven’t been very steady in uploading new posts on this blog, it’s because I’m busy planning our family’s next trip to BALI!
You might think that Bali’s such a been-there-done-that destination for most Singaporeans (or even, anyone), but no…
Me being me, of course I’ll do things a little bit differently, with a whole lot of SPECTACULAR!
First of all, this will not be a three or four day mini-break. Our family is taking about EIGHT days to truly relax and enjoy some different parts of the lovely island. Our travel focus is on eco-tourism and culture, with some luxury thrown in for good measure. *wink* If you know me, you’ll know that good food and memorable dining experiences will be a big part of the entire vacay.
Also, Keyaan will be taking a more active role in the trip! No longer just there to be toted along in a Baby Bjorn, we will be making this trip worth far more than his SGD20 KLM infant fare (I know!). He will be sowing some seeds, grabbing dirt in a farm, running on beaches, sitting up at Chefs’ tables… the list goes on.
What is more, those who are familiar with Balinese natives will also know that they absolutely LOVE children, especially babies. Almost every villa I’ve researched offers a babysitting or nanny service upon request (with the exception of Kayumanis resorts) and kids are a very important part of the island community. So K will definitely have a blast.
Meanwhile, I chanced upon a great travel resource site for parents visiting Bali…
Now I don’t even have to pack a stroller! Fab…
I’m really striving to have the proper Travelling In Threes website up and running before I leave for Bali, so if all goes well, it will be. If not, whatever will be, will be. But I’m bringing my netbook along so that I can blog on the trip and the news will be fresh from my experience of them.
So till then, please don’t give up on us!
